My Acer Spin 5 is fully charged. Let’s turn it on. The first thing I noticed is it turns on real quick. Less than a second after I press the power on button. Let’s login. Now here’s the thing. When I pull out the power, the AC power charger, the power goes from 100 percent to 99 percent immediately.
Ok at 3:50 p.m. we have 18 hours 36 minutes of power. It’s operating for the first time let’s see how long the battery will last. It’s 4:12 p.m., slightly more than 20 minutes later and it’s already in 98%, 1% down and I haven’t done anything yet.
First of all, the name Spin because it can spin 360 degrees. So you can use it in laptop mode. Flat mode, that’s my term. Tent mode. By the way, in tent mode the keyboard is deactivated. Or tablet mode.
Tablet mode just like your iPad. You have rotation. It will automatically rotate just like the iPad. So on the left hand side, we have the power jack, HDMI port, USB-C port and 2 USB 3 ports. One being able to use the laptop as a portable power bank and on the other side we have the lock latch, the power switch, another USB port, an SD card slot, the headset jack, the volume buttons, the charging indicator and the on/off indicator.
At the back we have the speaker outlet. One over here and one on this side which is only activated when you use it in tent mode because the sound will come up from here otherwise when you use it as a normal laptop mode the sound will come up from here.
The screen size is 13.3 inch, IPS LCD and full HD resolution. Backlit keyboard. Fingerprint sensor inside the touchpad. It’s 4:51 p.m. and we have about 2 hours 52 minutes of battery life remaining. That’s not good.
I haven’t done anything yet.
